AHPS JOINED HANDS WITH FIT KIDS

Sports & Physical programmes are holistic and age appropriate for school students of various age groupsand are designed to condition a healthy mind and to keep them active, fit and creative.

Early Childhood

Early Childhood(EC) curriculum ensures that all children are involved, highly active, incorporate school readiness skills, and become more confident and competent movers. Children participate in enjoyable activities, many of which integrate with other subjects like reading, writing, arithmetic, and wellness concepts such as trying new foods and being active at home with a family member.

Grade K-2

The curriculum is designed to introduce standards-based, developmentally appropriate activities without overwhelming students and to encourage maximum participation during class time.

Active participation and practice in a positive, non-threatening atmosphere are the means for improving children physical skills, fitness, social skills, and personal enjoyment. Some of the major objectives of the programme include body and spatial awareness, locomotor and non-locomotor skills, directionality, pathways, levels and tempos, balance, small and large objects manipulation, flexibility, agility and strength. These objectives are achieved through units like Parachute, Manipulatives, Balance, Stunts and Tumbling, etc.

Grade 3-8

This programme emphasizes health-related fitness activities; however, it is also designed to reach other traditional Physical Education outcomes, including the attainment of motor skills, knowledge and social values. The focus during class time, however, is on children being actively engaged.
